Pragues' Old Town holds many secrets. Walk down the stairs into this shrine-like, underground, chamber, presided by a four meter high statue of the lotus-seated Buddha to discover one such secret. This is the Prague incarnation of the wildly popular Buddha Bar group, allready established in Paris, Beirut, Dubai, Cairo, Kiev, Sao Paolo, London and Jakarta. The theatrical dining space, located in a stunningly decorated, sunken, double hight basement is overlooked by a perimeter gallery which houses the bar/lounge. The dimly lit, red, black and gold decor emulates the exotic oppulance of the Far East. Diners take on the role of actors on the stage as they sample the chefs' spot-lit, pan-Asian delicacies: Dim Sum, Sushi, Sashimi, Wok fried dishes, Steamed fish and much more. The tasting menu is also a good option as it takes you through the top signiture dishes. An unmissable dining experience.
It goes without saying that the ambience is complimented and completed by hypnotic somgs from the Buddha Bar music compilations (live DJ every night from 9pm). If you're here in the evening, after the meal make your way upstairs to the lounge where you can sample exquisite cocktails and drink well past midnight. Finally the Brunch is the piece de resistence, Sundays 12-4pm, 990Kč, Live DJ and unlimited buffet consumption.
