The Czechs are rightly proud of their beer. Something that is abundently clear at this fabulous micro-brewery, dedicated to the National drink. The location, just off Charles Square, on the corner of a well-frequented street, make this a popular venue with locals and visitors alike.
As soon as you walk in you are struck by the monumental, warm, gleaming brass vats, which house the beer. These have shared the space with hundreds of thousands of guests since 1998 when the doors first opened. At any one time there are a minimum of eight kinds of beer served here. These include: classic larger, dark, light, coffee beer, wheat beer, sour-cherry beer, nettle beer, banana beer, champagne beer and Black Hill - a kind of aperative. And as if that wasn’t enough several food receipes on the traditional Czech menu are also made with beer! So pull up a chair, order a beer and a hearty dish of food and let the good times begin.
